Alicia Samuels is a public health communications professional with over a decade of experience communicating public health information to policymakers, healthcare professionals and the lay public. As director of communications for the Johns Hopkins Center for Injury Research and Policy, she leads the Center's ongoing activities in knowledge translation and strategic communications. Ms. Samuels is the author of numerous scientific articles, media advocacy and consumer education pieces. Her work has been showcased at the annual National Conference on Health Communication, Marketing, and Media sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and prevention.
